50/30/20 budget

Allocate income among needs, wants and savings at chosen percentages.

A customizable allocation

The 50/30/20 rule allocates available income to needs, wants, and savings or debt repayment. Adjust the percentages as long as they total 100%.

Example and limitations

Income of 10,000 at default percentages gives 5,000, 3,000 and 2,000. This does not determine what suits your circumstances or obligations; use it for planning and comparison.
